Safety and Security
At the MCISD, the safety and security of our students, staff, and visitors is our highest priority. We are committed to creating learning environments where everyone feels protected, supported, and prepared. Through strong partnerships with local law enforcement, ongoing staff training, and proactive safety measures, we work every day to ensure our schools remain safe places to learn and grow.
MCISD Emergency Operations Plan
The MCISD uses the I Love You Guys Foundation’s Standard Response Protocol (SRP) as the foundation for developing and implementing our Emergency Response Protocols. The SRP provides a clear, consistent, and nationally recognized framework for responding to a wide range of emergency situations, using common language and actions such as Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter. By aligning our practices with this proven model, we ensure that students, staff, and first responders share a common understanding during critical incidents, allowing for faster, more coordinated, and more effective responses across all our schools.
