MCISD Opening Week Info for Staff
Opening Day is Monday, August 28, 2023.

Opening Day of the 2023-2024 school year for Monroe County ISD staff will be held at the Monroe County Community College La-Z-Boy Center, commencing at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, August 28th.
REMINDER: ANNUAL MANDATORY TRAINING
The following Safe Schools training modules may be accessed at any time and from any internet-based computer. The PC Lab in the Professional Development Center will also be available on Wednesday, August 30th from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Training must be completed by 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
Mandatory Training for All Staff:
- FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) Training
- Staff Network and Internet Acceptable Use and Safety Training
- Title IX Sexual Harassment Training Awareness
- Child Abuse: Mandatory Reporting
- Cyber Security Awareness Training (initial and monthly training). Note: You will receive an e-mail in August 2023 from no-reply@wizer-training.com to inform you about the initial and monthly trainings.
All Staff Who Have Regular Contact with Students MUST ALSO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING:
- Bloodborne Pathogen Training
- Seclusion and Restraint: Awareness Training
