The Monroe County School of Choice application window is now open until June 19, 2026. Once completed, applications must be submitted to the students' RESIDENT district Superintendent's Office.
A Special Board Meeting of the MCISD Board of Education will take place on Friday, March 6, 2026 @ 4:00 PM. Closed session to review privileged communication under Section 8 (h) of the Open Meetings Act.
As required by state law, the Boards of Education for nine public school districts, the Monroe County ISD, and two charter schools in Monroe County have requested that the Monroe County Intermediate School District Board of Education conduct an election to seek renewal of the county-wide millage for educational technology supporting K–12 curriculum goals. This election will take place on May 6, 2026.
Due to inclement weather, all MCISD programs are cancelled tomorrow, Monday, January 26, 2026. This includes all Educational Center and Transition Center classrooms, early childhood programs, the Monroe County Middle College and the MCISD Administration Building.
