Consent to Release Student Education Records - January 1, 2025

Due to the dense fog, all MCISD educational programs are on a two hour delay today, Thursday, January 8, 2026. This includes the Educational Center, Transition Center, Whitman Center Transition Classroom, Project SEARCH Classroom, Monroe County Middle College and the MCISD Administration Building. MCISD Early Childhood special education programs are cancelled in districts that are delayed. Thank you.

MCISD Spring Break - March 30 - April 3, 2026

At the April 22, 2025, Board meeting, the Board of Education approved the following:

• Friday, December 19, 2025, is the final student day of school before Winter Break.

• Students will return on Monday, January 5, 2026.

• The Administration, Professional Development Center and Special Education buildings will be closed from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, through Friday, January 2, 2026.

• The Administration, Professional Development Center and Special Education building employees will return to work on Monday, January 5, 2026.

• Holidays will be observed December 24th, 25th, 26th, 2025, December 31st, 2025, and January 1st, 2026.

Please be advised that the main entrance to the MCISD south parking lot will be closed beginning Monday, October 13 through Sunday, October 19.

This closure is necessary to complete concrete work, which is anticipated to take approximately seven days. During this time, please plan to use alternate entrances and allow extra time for parking and building access.
